Say Hello
Okay, so I've only just discovered iMovie. And now must spend every spare second creating amateur clips... Plenty more to come, I'm sure.
Here are the babies I looked after in the Kolkata orphanage, almost 2 years ago now. The vid includes---

It's been a while...
... and here I am.
I spent a while gallivanting through Thailand and India, enjoying my freedom from the Foundation Year.
But now I'm back, and baby am I.
I'll ease in gently with some pretty things...

City Of Angels
We ventured onto the public bus system and inevitably got it wrong. The F.I.E.R.C.E. bus driver took us under her weave and gave us a free ride round the city, all we had to do was nod politely at everything she said, for fear of being dumped in the wrong part of town... So thank you Miss Thang, your zest stays with me till this day!
L.A. was full to the brim with kool kids just waiting to front their own clothing line/viral sensation.
Plus, I was in Graff Heaven... mmmmm. But that's a whole diifferent blog post!
This song reminds me of L.A.

New Zealand : Middle Earth
(view from the parachute)
Picking out theses photos was a real struggle, could have posted a hundred from Kiwiland.
TOTES BEAUT.
Apart form the obvious memories (jumping 12,000ft out of a plane, hiking for 8 hours up a glacier, jumping the world's 2nd highest bungy. I wouldn't want to show off...) my fave has to be having a sleepover in a 24 person bunk bed.
Ever felt comfortable enough with 24 people to sleep with them all at one time?!
Done.

Aussie Aussie Aussie
(this photo is actually our reflection on the surface of the Sydney Opera House)
Provan and I took to the East Coast of Australia, sleeping on sand and dancing in waves- mostly to this song...
The greatest memory has to be when we were snorkelling along the Whitsunday Islands, at Longford Spit. Swimming alongside wild sea turtles, stroking their shells and holding their fins. Looking beneath us and seeing dozens of them sleeping amongst rocks and coral...
BEYOND beaut, and for a novice swimmer, quite an achievement.
It was all 'The Little Mermaid' had promised, and so much more!

Thailand- Same, Same... But Different.

To be honest, the music in Thailand was tacky and irritating at best. So I pick this one, the final song played at Lotus Bar, Koh Tao on each and every night.
In Bangkok, we put our lives in the hands of a man I fondly refer to as 'Death Tuc'. He rode his tuc-tuc like a true Hell's Angel and actually mowed over a motorcyclist during our journey.
We just had time to exchange an awkward glance with the poor motorcyclist at our feet before Death Tuc was off again, leaving him in dust.
So yes, we were involved in a Hit-and-Run.

India- "Ami Tomake Bhalobashi"
As for the song, well it wouldn't be right if it weren't 'Desi Girl'. Click here for a mooch (WARNING! cheesy dancing IS compulsory.)
As for a memory. Well, here's one

About Time
So here's the thing:
One country.
5 photos. 1 song. 1 memory.
I haven't had a chance to blog any of my 'Around the World' photography, and seeing as it took up a year of my life, how about some now?!

ARTSPACE 2010!
Last week I headed down to Henley-on-Thames to spend a week with Bridget and co. at Barn Galleries, to set in the ground work for Artspace. Hectic week full of painters, sculptors and fussy ceramicists. I got to hang pretty paintings, boss people around and play with awesome jewellery. Oh, and drink Pimms. Need i go on?
In my element.
I've come back home exhausted and excited, ready to crack on with my own work...
Speaking off, I'm in week 8 of my 10 week project.
The next few weeks shall be grim...
