Long Ting

Here is a drawing I've worked on this week, fineliner on lining paper (*cringe*... it's cheap) and about 2metres long.

It took me bare time and i shall look at it no more!

Shakti

This term I have ditched the Fine Art way of life and am an Animation student! For the time being anyway... Haven't actually started animating yet but got some ideas flowing and concept art.

Inspired by my played out theme of the Hindu goddesses being representational of WOMAN, I've looked at the multi-faceted personality of Kali, and tried to express it through imagery.

Goddess...Snakes...Lotuses....Tongues

Ya get the idea.

Daksinakali: My Mistake

My final animation...
I recorded the mistakes i made over the period of one week. I listed them whilst taking the pose of Kali, regretful in her mistake- Daksinakali.

Shouts out to ma gurl Saz for bein the photographer/token hottie.

... is more deadly than the Male.

Working around a predictable theme of 'Feminine Aggression', I've been researching the Goddess Kali (my lust for her I already mentioned). During my recent Kolkata stay, I visited the Kali temple and this got me salivating to know more about her, and to explore the idea of a female being aggressive/blood thirsty/scary as hell.
What is a natural progression of this idea??
Biting paper whilst wearing lipstick.
Why, of course...

FINALS!

These bad boys are the 4 prints that made up my college exhibition, they're slightly smaller than A1 sized and are made using the same process explained before...
These are based on the idolisation of the Goddess Mother Durga, and how she is actually a representation of every woman.
And they're extra creepy.
You know it...
